The bernette 79 is the top-of-the-line model in the bernette range, combining advanced sewing and quilting functions with powerful embroidery capabilities in one versatile machine.

It brings together the sewing functions of the b77 with the embroidery features of the b70 DECO, giving you everything you need for sewing, quilting and embroidery projects. With a 5-inch colour touchscreen, multi-function knobs, 500 stitches, 208 embroidery designs and a large 260 x 160 mm embroidery area, the b79 provides extensive creative possibilities while remaining easy to operate.

5-Inch Colour Touchscreen and Multi-Function Knobs

The centrally positioned 5-inch colour touchscreen provides intuitive access to stitches, embroidery designs and machine functions.

The multi-function knobs allow you to quickly adjust stitch length and width or position embroidery designs. Built-in sewing and embroidery tutorials provide useful guidance, while the Creative Consultant can help recommend suitable stitches for your chosen fabric.

230 mm of Space for Larger Projects

Four bright LEDs illuminate the sewing area, providing clear visibility while you work.

With 230 mm of space to the right of the needle, the b79 gives you plenty of room for larger sewing and quilting projects. The slide-on freearm extension table provides additional support and workspace when working with large pieces of fabric.

500 Stitches for Creative Sewing

The bernette 79 offers 500 sewing stitches, including practical, decorative and quilting stitches.

The stitch selection includes:

• 22 practical stitches

• 133 decorative stitches

• 35 quilting stitches

• 17 buttonholes

• 3 alphabets

The Stitch Designer allows you to modify included stitches or create your own stitch patterns. Individual stitch settings can be temporarily saved and stored in the personal memory for future projects.

Tie-Off Function and Automatic Thread Cutter

The automatic tie-off function helps secure the end of a seam without manually stitching backwards.

Simply press the tie-off button and then use the automatic thread cutter to finish the seam. These functions can also be programmed to the foot control with back-kick function, allowing you to complete the process with a simple heel tap.

Comfortable Sewing Features

Semi-Automatic Needle Threader and Knee Lifter

The semi-automatic needle threader makes threading easier, while the additional thread cutter helps hold the thread in place.

The included knee lever allows you to raise and lower the presser foot while keeping both hands free to guide your fabric.

Integrated Dual Feed

The integrated bernette Dual Feed helps feed fabric evenly from above and below. It is particularly useful when working with different types of materials and helps maintain smooth, consistent fabric feeding.

Embroidery Module with Three Hoops

Large 260 x 160 mm Embroidery Area

The bernette 79 includes an embroidery module with three different-sized hoops, allowing you to select the appropriate hoop for your design.

The maximum embroidery area is 260 x 160 mm (10.2 x 6.3 inches), providing plenty of room for larger embroidery motifs.

The hoops feature a quick-release system for easy opening and closing, while automatic hoop detection displays the defined embroidery area on the touchscreen.

208 Built-In Embroidery Designs and 7 Alphabets

The b79 comes with 208 pre-installed embroidery designs and 7 embroidery alphabets, giving you a wide selection of motifs and lettering options.

Embroidery designs can be edited directly on the touchscreen. You can:

• Combine design elements

The machine is also compatible with most embroidery design formats, allowing you to add designs without first converting them through embroidery software.

Automatic Stitch Plate Detection

The included 7 mm stitch plate allows decorative stitches with a stitch width of up to 7 mm.

A straight stitch plate is also supplied as standard. The machine automatically detects the stitch plate being used and adjusts the available stitch width range accordingly.
