The Bernette 38 is the top model in the bernette 30 series, combining a wide range of stitches with practical computerised features for everyday sewing, dressmaking, quilting and creative projects.

With an impressive 394 stitches, including 67 decorative stitches, stretch stitches, 8 different buttonholes and 3 alphabets, the b38 gives you plenty of creative possibilities. Its memory function allows you to combine and temporarily save stitch patterns, including letters and decorative designs.

The Bernette 38 also features an adjustable speed regulator, adjustable presser foot pressure, automatic thread cutter and automatic tie-off function. With 8 included presser feet, a large extension table and hardcover, it is equipped for a wide range of sewing projects straight out of the box.

8 One-Step Buttonholes

Create professional-looking buttonholes with 8 different one-step buttonhole styles. The buttonhole settings can be adjusted to suit your fabric and project.

Three Alphabets

Personalise your projects with the machine's 3 built-in alphabets. Add names, initials, lettering and other personalised details to garments and creative projects.

Memory Function for Stitch Combinations

The memory function allows you to combine different stitches and save your combinations while working on a project. You can combine decorative patterns and lettering to create your own personalised stitch sequences.

Automatic Thread Cutter and Tie-Off

Finishing a seam is simple with the automatic tie-off function. At the end of a seam, the machine can secure the stitches automatically.

Once you have finished sewing, simply press the automatic thread cutter button and the thread is cut without needing to reach for scissors.

Adjustable Presser Foot Pressure

Different fabrics require different amounts of presser foot pressure. The bernette 38 allows you to adjust the pressure to suit your material, helping provide smooth and consistent fabric feeding on lightweight and heavier fabrics.

Adjustable Sewing Speed

The built-in speed regulator allows you to control the sewing speed directly. This is particularly useful when working on detailed sections where slower, more controlled stitching is helpful.

Double Needle Safety

When using a twin needle, the dedicated double-needle function helps prevent the needle from hitting the presser foot. The machine automatically limits the stitch width to provide safer twin-needle sewing.

Large Extension Table

The included extension table provides additional workspace for larger sewing projects such as clothing, quilts and curtains. It can be easily attached and removed when required.
