Have you ever taken a closer look at the hems of your t-shirts or sweatshirts? The top of the hem usually looks like a twin-needle stitch whereas the underside of the hem resembles a zig-zag stitch. The BLCS is a coverstitch, compared to a twin-needle stitch and zig-zag stitch produced on a sewing machine, the cover stitch is much more elastic and durable.
