Delivery policy

  • At Aberdeen Sewing Machines our goal is to offer you the best delivery options, no matter where you live. We strive to ensure that we provide the very highest levels of responsiveness to you at all times.
  • The time frame for order delivery is divided into two parts:
    • Processing time: Order verification, tailoring, quality check and packaging.
    • Delivery Times
      • In Store Collection – on confirmation of your order we will confirm a date for pickup of your goods – FREE
  • UK Standard Delivery – Domestic Sewing Machine orders to UK mainland are Free Delivery on £30 or more spend. Industrial Sewing Machine orders however will be charged at a flat delivery rate of £90. Smaller items under 3kg are sent out via Royal Mail. Orders placed by 3.00 p.m. Monday to Friday will be despatched that day, orders after 3pm will be dispatched next working day. On occasion orders are sent to the manufacturer for dispatch within 24 hours after the order is placed. The manufacturer and their chosen courier process the orders, which takes an additional 2–4 days.

        • Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, you are considered the importer and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the products. We will not be held responsible nor will we issue credit for items seized by the customs service of any country.
  • Please note that all large products are dispatched in the manufacturer’s original packaging. If your order is a gift and you require plain packaging, please contact us.
  • Secure Online Ordering
    • Ordering online is simple, safe and straightforward.
      Simply click the “add to cart” button and your chosen product will be placed in your shopping cart. To add another item, click “previous”. When you have finished shopping, you can then proceed to the “checkout” where you will be asked for your details.
  • Payment Types Accepted
    • You can be assured that this is a safe way to pay as we use Secure Socket Layer 128 bit encryption. After you have confirmed your order, you will be sent an order reference number by email. We also accept orders by telephone 01224 478555.
    • If payment by cheque is preferred, goods will be dispatched once funds have cleared. We will notify you when we are despatching your order. Please allow 5-7 days.
  • Worldwide Shipping
    • In some instances we may be unable to supply all Machines products outside the UK and Ireland. Warranty issue resolution on products supplied by us must be returned to the original place of purchase.
  • Back Ordered Items
    • In the rare event of an item being out of stock, we will contact you by telephone and / or email to explain when delivery is expected. It will be despatched as soon as possible.
  • Shortages & Non Delivery
    • Any shortages must be reported within 48 hours of receipt of delivery.
  • Order Cancellation or change
    • If you need to change details of your delivery address, add items or remove items from your order or cancel it completely, please contact our Customer Services team on 01224 478555. Please quote your order number and order date. If your order has already been despatched, we’re sorry that it is not possible to make changes to your order once it has been dispatched. If you’d like to add products to your order, please place a new order for these items.
